Reclaimed Whimsy

Marianne Kirby is an artist, writer and editor based in Orlando, FL. Her work is based around practical themes, but created with an eye to the different. As such, a simple computer cable becomes a belt, and simple boxes made of paper emerge as complex sculpture. Her eye for fine detail has earned her some attention in Europe, and she has had work commissioned for private collections in the UK. Her work with limited edition volumes of her own poetry, each individually hand-bound, has found its way into private collections around the country. Her silverwork and recycled jewelry can be spotted on stylish citizens of cities around the globe.
